I hope you all enjoyed your orienteering at Kielder.

There were many things to consider when planning the various routes. One of which was the sudden appearance of a new mountain bike route a week previous to the event, which altered the yellow, green and blue routes somewhat.
From the various comments received, the technicality of the courses was just about right. The yellow course might have done with one or two extra controls to break up some of the longer legs.

Many thanks to Adrian Barns ( controller ) for his helpful and constructive advice, and his hard work in checking the sites.. We disagreed on a few control positions, but compromises were agreed upon.

Also many thanks to Jane Malley, Jonathan Malley, John Crosby for their aid in collecting in controls after the event had finished. Special mention to Patrick Smyth who collected a few whilst competing and dropping them off at a roadside for later collection.
