Thanks to everyone for taking part and in particular to the club members who helped at the event but didn’t have a run – Annette Egan, Alan Fortune and Chris Bradford on the start, and Katherine Crosby on the finish. Thanks also to Barry Wilson - Northumberland County Council Woodland Management Officer for his advice and support.
Thanks to Charlotte Gaines for reporting a vandalised control which we were able to replace before too many people were affected.. Thanks to the weather for being so kind – if you thought some parts of the area were very wet you should have seen them 5 or 6 weeks ago when we first visited!

I'd like to personally thank Bob for his help in planning (2 heads are definitely better than one) and for stepping in to cover the controls I was scheduled to put out when I became injured. I'd also like to thank Elaine and Fred for control placement and retrieval.
But more importantly I'd like to thank all the youngsters who so enthusiastically ran the string course for proving that the experiment of having a string course with the same start and finish as the other courses was worthwhile -and for showing such infectious enjoyment
