Please heed the advice to check body and kit for ticks.
One of the organising team picked up a couple yesterday.
Removal advice is to use tweezers as close to the skin as possible to apply gentle outward pull pressure
so that the whole tick is removed leaving no part beneath the skin.

Planner's Comments

A big thank you to all that competed at Thrunton on Sunday 3rd May.
In what is already a challenging area, was made even more difficult by the horrendous weather we experienced on the day.
Thrunton is a very large area, but I tried to use a confined area utilising butterfly loops
and 2 maps for the longer courses. This area was used last year for the British and I was conscious from feedback that the area
is tough going physically, so trimmed the length of the courses back slightly.
Had I know the weather was going to be as it was, I would probably have trimmed them back a little further.
A huge thank you to all the helpers on the day. some having to stand in the driving rain for hours and especially the collecting in team.
Without them, I would probably still be out there in the dark on the Sunday evening,
