Planner's Comments

Thanks to everyone that attended.
Hopefully the marked-up routes didn't add too much complication to the maps, and you all enjoyed the courses with the navigational and physical challenges that were set.
Beanley manages to offer a lot of variety across the area, and the clear weather today provided some great orienteering conditions both on the moorland and in the plantation.
Thanks to James for a sterling job with the organisation and Fred for vetting the courses, and also to Adrian, Tim, and George for helping to collect in controls.

Organiser's Comments

I always end up missing one person out so I will simply say thanks to all those that contributed to this event. This includes land owners and volunteers of NaTO.
The experience, knowledge and guidance from those that have been involved in events previously was very much appreciated; along with fairly good weather conditions.
The experience of volunteers to simply get out there and get on with what's required made organising my first event a very relaxing and enjoying one.

Well done to Chris for producing an excellent variety of courses that offered something for everyone, regardless of age and experience.
Lastly, thanks to the 40 or so participants for coming along, not getting injured, or lost, but simply enjoying the wonderful setting Beanley offers and enjoying the sport of Orienteering.
I look forward to welcoming you all to another event in the future.

Controller's Comments

Thanks to all who took part. Excellent job at organising by James, good planning by Chris.
We are sorry that a couple of the SI boxes were off kilter - no-one will be penalised because of them.
The very recent felling made the forest areas tougher than we had intended, but you all seem to have survived!
