There has been a delay in publishing results because quite a number of runners were using dibbers registered to others. The software producing results uses the dibber register to identify the runner and so records the name of the registerd owner instead of the actual runner with some strange effects. This does not apply to hired dibbers.

Membership records have had to be searched and files have had to be edited manually to correct this. In a level C event this is also important because ranking points depend on accurate membership numbers which in turn are linked with dibber registration. Please flag up at registration if you or a youngster are using someone else's dibber.

If a dibber is to be permanently used by a person not registered, the registration can be updated by visiting https://www.sportident.co.uk/sicard_archive/sicards/
Enter the dibber number and ID details requested. From the drop down menu select "An SI card now used by someone else" and follow through.
